A growing body of evidence from the field of behavioral economics suggests that many health and social problems derive from small decision errors and cognitive biases that lead people to make choices that are contrary to their personal, professional, and social interests related to health and well-being. Research in this S4A priority area will evaluate how well-designed incentives can help align choices with broader objectives in health, well-being, and equity.
