Collaborating Across Systems for Program Implementation (CASPI) Toolkit

Overview

Successful implementation of cross-system interventions that link or integrate services often depends on strong collaboration between public agencies and private community based organizations in different systems. There are a myriad of ways to collaborate across systems; each type of partnership can also serve a different goal.

The Collaborating Across Systems for Program Implementation (CASPI) toolkit was developed to help support collaboration decisions by S4A investigators at The Ohio State University.

The toolkit was designed to offer practical guidance on:

  • selecting an approach to collaboration
  • specifying the terms of a partnership agreement, and
  • engaging external support for cross-system collaboration.

The research team offers examples of how these collaboration strategies can be used by implementers including agency leaders, administrators, and technical assistance providers.
