Restorative Community Solutions

Restorative Community Solutions (RCS), works to restore, empower and heal historically divested communities in the San Francisco Bay Area through individual, group, and community coaching. The Equity Capacity Building Grant will contribute to their systems alignment challenge focused on building a team of consultants who have lived expertise navigating criminal legal systems as key contributors to the design, implementation and evaluation of California’s Medicaid Re-Entry Waiver programming. They will co-design research initiatives and secure additional funding in collaboration with Justice System Partners and the Health and Reentry Project in upcoming meetings with California Health Care Foundation and the 12-county Medicaid Re-entry Waiver communities. They were awarded $97,500 through the Equity Capacity Building Grant mechanism and their grant activities will include:

  • Building RCS’s internal capacity and strategic infrastructure to lead larger scale, systems alignment initiatives and an academic partnership.
  • Enhance implementation of the Medicaid Reentry Waiver in Solano County by supporting grassroots CBOs through community informed TA.
  • Strengthen stakeholder engagement across managed care, jail health, advisory boards, and reentry providers.
