Each project supported with grant funds from the Systems Alignment Innovation Hub (SAIH) will examine an innovative systems alignment approach that engages partners from the medical, public health, and social services sectors in collaborative efforts to dismantle structural and systemic racism and improve health equity.

SAIH has launched two types of funding mechanisms. The first, Targeted Research Funding, launched in 2023 and funded four projects. They have all since been renewed. The second, Equity Capacity Building Grants, launched in January 2025 and funded 12 projects. All funded projects vary in their aims and approaches but share common goals of aligning systems and dismantling systemic racism.
