The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, an ASTHO affiliate, helps state-level chronic disease prevention and health promotion units grow in evidenced-based organizational/administrative practices and increase their public health practice effectiveness.  NACDD is hosting a Chronic Disease Academy for state Chronic Disease Directors and their senior staff.  Dr. Mays will speak to the attendees about the current state of public health systems research and how public health practice is changing. The NACDD is comprised of 6,000 chronic disease professionals working in every health department across every state and US Territory.  Their members also include those working with us in academia, nonprofits, government agencies and private industry.
