Overview

Dr. Mays visited Miami to participate in the Florida International University Department of Health Policy and Management Seminar Series. The audience members were provided valuable information on the use of longitudinal data from a national cohort of U.S. communities to estimate geographic and intertemporal variation in the implementation of population health activities and in the degree of multi-sector engagement in implementation.  He detailed the sizable improvements in health outcomes and reductions in health disparities in communities that build dense multi-sector networks supporting population health.
