Understanding Rural-Urban Differences in the Implementation of Population Health Activities (Research-in-Progress Series)
Overview
This study considers the association of local public health agency performance with the rural-urban characteristic of the agencies’ jurisdictions. Specifically, the association of county-level gaps in public health performance with differences in the rural-urban characteristic of jurisdictions was studied. Using an econometric model, disparities in the rural-urban characteristic of U.S. public health agencies and how much of public health performance gaps are related to these conditions will be presented.
